Mindset: The Difference Between Temporary and Longterm Change

Over the years as a trainer one of the biggest changes I’ve made is working on my own mindset and teaching clients how to change their mindset.

Our brains are very powerful and the more you can learn how your brain works and how you react to things in life the better you can control it.

When it comes to our health and fitness journeys this is a very powerful tool. Study yourself and learn why you do certain things. Do you eat for comfort? Boredom? Do you have a bad relationship with exercise because of something that happened at an early point in life?

Ask yourself these questions and start to learn your why’s. Why do you want to make changes? What is your deeper driving force?

Things like I want to lose weight weight and tone up and very surface level and shallow things that will not motivate you to make lasting changes! Ask yourself why you really want this! Be truthful with yourself. Is it cause you feel like crap and you’re tired of it? Do you hate the image you see in the mirror? Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Are you depressed about not being able to do things with your friends and family cause it’s to physically demanding?

Dig deep and get to the real reason’s of why you want to make changes in your life. Sit back and examine yourself. Ask yourself the tough questions.

If you need help digging deeper and figuring out your why’s reach out and let me know! It’s time to change your thinking so you can change your life!
